UFOs has always been the most controversial topic that I have an interest in. Not too many people would come forward and say that they believe in them; although I hate the word believe as this implies a religious theme. Rather that they think UFOs are real.
Do UFOs exist?
To most people the answer will fall in to a few camps: the ‘They do exist’; the ‘they might exist’; the ‘they don’t exist’; the ‘don’t give a toss, it’s all rubbish’ camps.
Again there is the professional element that makes a living out of UFOs’ from both sides of the argument. And it’s good to have these people as they are the ones we, as mere mortals, have to go to, to find out about any of the so called paranormal subjects. Thankfully we can use the WWW to find out about the authors and what makes them tick.
Example:
One famous (to ufologists that is.) person had been paid to debunk UFOs and is now making a living saying they are true.
There is a conspiracy; I am in no doubt about, to debunk UFOs in the public domain. Most Western government subscribe to this and only a few more open governments say they don’t, but I suspect that even these will sit tight on real UFO evidence.
Our own government say that there is no evidence that UFOs are a threat and so they (the government) don’t have a department for the collection of UFOs stories. (Yeah… right???) Then who’s Nick Pope then?
Right, this is my blog and I expect you want to know what I think about UFOs.

That in the universe there are other planets that support life (as we know it) I have no doubt.
That there are civilisations that are so advance that they can travel around the universe looking for other civilisations: well wouldn’t we, after all aren’t we looking at Mars now to see if there once was a civilisation there at one time.
How the space ship is powered to be able to travel so far, so quickly, is the fundamental question to visiting other galaxies.
Anti gravity engines are a popular idea for this. As I see it they project a point of gravity in front of the ship and the ship slips towards it. If you stand up and let go of a ball it falls to the ground. The rotation of the earth gives us our gravity. Now if you spin round very fast then let go of the ball it would first fly of in the direction you let it go before it slows down and starts to fall to the ground. Right so far, if you could have an contraption that produces the same sort of force as you spinning round then it is able to project the release to a point in a certain direction, then the contraption should, in theory, go to this point. The engine then only needs to repeat these steps to be able to continual travelling. Whether this would work I have no idea, nor how fast it would make a space ship travel. But it’s a great theory, and if you believe some of the stories going around the there is such an engine in a crashed UFO that the Americans are trying to see how it works, supposedly in Area 51.
I don’t think we need worry about this to much, unless an alien second-hand-space-ship-salesman lands and offers us a used-one-little-old-lady-previous-owner-low-mileage-space-ship we will not see intergalactic travel in our life time. Except; for the good old Star Trek films. Warp Engines??
People always ask if I have seen one.
Maybe I have, I certainly have seen many UFOs in my lifetime. I remember seeing a silver orb in the sky once when I was a kid. Lights in the sky; which moved about. Lately, I saw a white or light colured strip that formed across the sky at night. Soon after, there was great activity of military helicopters that were looking for something??
I do occasionally go sky watching, but as yet have not seen anything when I have intentionally gone out to watch. Isn’t this always the way?
In the town where I live I have spoken to a few people who claim to have seen UFO’s.
One guy said he was waiting for a bus one early summers morning outside the factory where he had just finished the night shift when a UFO came by very close, he said he could see people (?) looking out at him from it.
Another guy said he saw a UFO which passed overhead; He said it was so big it filled the whole sky. Didn’t make a noise and took a while to pass by. Again, this was another early morning appearance.
A lady said she opened her front door and was met with a UFO hovering above her house. She was prepared to have this sighting documented.
A man was driving down the valley in the early hours and saw a UFO moving slowly low up the valley complete with flashing lights.
These people are convinced by what they saw but there was no way they would admit to them (except one). Most people will not admit to seeing UFOs for fear of being ridiculed. I bet that if you talk to people and assure them that you won’t laugh at them then you will find some who admit to witnessing seeing UFO’s (This, you will find, will also apply to most paranormal subjects)
How true these stories are is a problem. Proof is almost impossible; sometimes there are collaborative witnesses. I think that if a person believes that what they saw is true then that’s fine. The rest of us have to read or listen to these reports and take them at face value.
Over the last 50 or so years there have been thousands of reported sightings, they can’t all be lies. You have to question those who want money for their stories, but for the rest.
OK. There we go; I have made a start on this subject. Please leave any comments or if you want to contact me by email; use the form on ‘This Is Me’ page. I would like to hear your feelings on UFOs.
